The Buganda Royal Family has today bid a sorrowful farewell to Omumbejja Diana Balizzamuggale Teyeggala Ndege, who has been laid to rest at the Kasubi Royal Tombs.
The princess, a daughter of the late Kabaka Edward Muteesa II and sister to Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has been remembered for her humility, compassion, and dedication to serving Buganda and Uganda at large.
The burial arrangements started with a church service held at St. Andrew’s Kasubi Church of Uganda, near the Kasubi Royal Tombs, attended by royal family members, Buganda government officials led by the Katikkiro, Charles Peter Mayiga, and the members of the community.

Mourners recalled Omumbejja Teyeggala’s strong support for education, culture, and interfaith harmony, including officiating at the launch of the African Buddhist High School in Entebbe.
Omumbejja Diana’s death is a significant loss to the royal family, the kingdom, and the nation. Her commitment to preserving Buganda’s heritage and her advisory role in the kingdom will be deeply missed.
