His roommates became alarmed after noticing that his phone, wallet, and other personal belongings had been left behind — an unusual act for someone known to be responsible and cautious.
Mukono Police is investigating the disappearance of Tuwandike Nathan, 25, a student at Uganda Christian University (UCU) and a resident of Nsibambi A11, Mukono District.
Nathan was last seen on 25/02/2026 in Mukono Town. According to friends and fellow students, he had attended lectures earlier that day and appeared calm, though slightly withdrawn.
He reportedly left campus in the late afternoon, telling a classmate he needed “some fresh air.” He did not specify where he was going.

Concern grew later that evening when Nathan failed to return to his hostel room. His roommates became alarmed after noticing that his phone, wallet, and other personal belongings had been left behind — an unusual act for someone known to be responsible and cautious. Repeated attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.
Nathan is described as a quiet and thoughtful young man, deeply committed to his studies and active in campus fellowship activities. Lecturers say he had recently been preparing for coursework submissions and showed no visible signs of distress. Family members, however, have shared that he had seemed preoccupied in recent weeks, though he had not spoken openly about any concerns.
Mukono Police have launched inquiries into his disappearance, reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding areas and speaking to friends, classmates, and residents of Nsibambi A11. Authorities are working to establish his movements after he was last seen in town.

“We are treating this matter with urgency,” a police spokesperson stated. “We encourage anyone who may have seen Nathan on the day of his disappearance or who may have any information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward.”
We appeal to anyone with information about his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact Mukono Police Station immediately on 0783748109.
Inquiries are ongoing.
