The Headteacher of Mugulu Integrated Primary school in Butalejja district, Micah Muhwana, has this Saturday, entered his new home, with prayers and different forms of entertainment.
Muhwana, also celebrated his life, having survived the wrath of COVID 19, which squeezed him to the extent of surviving on oxygen. He says he will not forget the year 2021 having gotten a second chance to continue living, even as COVID claimed a very big number of people.
“I take the honour to praise God for my life and the resources that enabled me to stand out as a model primary headteacher,” he said.
Muhwana said that his storeyed home has cost him over sh500m which he saved as a result of diversification – farming (cattle keeping, maize, water melon and ground nuts growing) and part time contracts in private organisations.
For instance, he disclosed that he got more capital from NAADS, NUSAF, USAID, WORLD VISION AND COMPASSION, where he served besides being into civil service.
Ven. Canon Joel Wafuho, the Archdeacon of Bunyole West Church of Uganda, asked the public members to embrace thanksgiving to God for any achievements in life.
Can. Wafuho emphasised that when one expresses the fear of God he or she gets abundant yields.
Irene Hirome, the chairperson of Management committee for Mugulu Integrated Primary school described Muhwana, as a very hard working and exemplary team leader.
The thanksgiving service has also been attended by Dickson Muhwana, and his wife Lydia, who tied the knot, starting their marriage life. Dickson is the first born of Micah Muhwana.
Elvis Weere, the Butalejja LCV candidate (NRM), thanked Micah’s family for their functions. He revealed that he is married too, with twins, having Masters degree in Law, only left with wedding, after politics.
Weere, thanked the people of Busabi sub-county for their support to the Lt. Joseph Muyonjo, who had achieved the NRM flag initially for LCV chair.
He argued that their option to support Muyonjo, despite him, having been ill, was a gesture for their tiredness of the current regime at Butaleja district. He, however, assured them of being a champion of unity if entrusted.
