The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has urged youths to make endeavors to incorporate technological advancement in their jobs to be able to make products that match with requirements of the present time.

For the technological applications to be beneficial, the monarch added, it should be applied adequately taking in consideration of the right methods and quality.

Application of the technological system of production will greatly enhance your products if you apply it in the right measure; science is the expedited way of propelling the world and whoever ignores applying it will definitely remain backwards”, he said.

The festivities held on Wednesday at Musaale Busukuma Gombolola in Wakiso district, Kyaddondo county were conducted under the theme “Elevating Buganda to the Top Through Intensified Bulungibwansi and Local Governance Leadership And Technological Advancement Among the Youth”.

Handing over equipment for the Bulungibwansi programme, Mayiga reminded those seeking for parliamentary seats that Buganda is still committed to the desire for a federal system of governance as the best system for improving local governance.

At the same function, the Mengo chief for Kyaddondo Haji Ahmed Magandaazi was handed the shield, a certificate and sh5m won by his county in the best practices for running local governance in Buganda. Ssingo County emerged runners-up and were given sh3m, while Buweekula came out in 3rd position and got sh1m.

Mengo Local Government Minister Joseph Kawuki appealed to chiefs at all levels to work hard, reminding them that it is through hard work that excelling counties derive marks from this. And Bulungibwansi Minister Hajat Mariam Mayanja thanked leaders for mobilizing people to turn up in big numbers for the Bulungibwansi function.

Former Katikkiros Joseph Mulwanyammuli Ssemogerere, Dan Muliika, retired Deputy Katikkiro Amb. Emmanuel Ssendawula, politicians Matia Lwanga Bwanika, Zambaali Blasio Mukasa and others were in attendance.
