As the search for the alleged abducted National Unity Platform (NUP) Election Management members goes on, the party Principle, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has revealed that they have successfully tracked and found the vehicle in which their members were traveling in.
Kyagulanyi reported that four members of the party’s election management team went missing as they were coming from the burial of one of their members from Masaka.
The four missing members who were allegedly abducted on Masaka road at Lungala village in Mpigi district include; Mercy Walukamba, Rovans Alex Lwanyaga, Rahma Juma and Eddie Kayabura.

Kyagulanyi however says, the vehicle which these members were traveling in had a tracker and it has identified the location at which it is currently packed at Mbuya Hill, in the CMI torture chambers.
His message posted on his X handle reads as follows;
“Unknown to these criminals, the vehicle in which our Election Management team was travelling when they were abducted from Mpigi had a tracker. It tracked the vehicle up to Mbuya Hill, at the CMI torture chambers, where it is still parked. Previously, our comrades who have been detained there have been tortured, raped and in some cases murdered. In addition to these, Chairman Nyanzi Fred Ssentamu is still missing as well as comrades Kinobe Rashid, Sharif Kiyemba, and the others. We demand for their urgent and unconditional release.”
Meanwhile, also the brother to Kyagulanyi and the head of mobilization in NUP, Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu was also abducted on Tuesday and to date, he is still missing. NUP alleges that Nyanzi was abducted by armed security officers who were in civilian clothes.
