Mukono ‘Balokole’ Head Salutes Media, Condemns Election Campaign Violence

Bp. Lwandasa disclosed that the Greater House Secretariat has organized a media meeting to look at pertinent issues and programmes for the new year, slated to take place on Saturday 13th December at a venue to be communicated in due course.

Pr. Samuel Lwandasa, the Founder President of the Love, Peace and Unity Pastors’ Destiny Forum in Greater Mukono.

The Chairman of Greater House Mukono Foundation (GHMF) Bishop Samuel Lwandasa has hailed the media for a job well done in educating and informing Ugandans at all times, which he said has kept Ugandans in the know and able to make informed decisions on many issues.

Lwandasa who is also the lead pastor for Mt. Lebanon Churches and head of Greater Mukono Peace, Love and Unity Pastors’ Destiny Forum appealed to Ugandans to avoid making rush decisions especially during critical periods like the current election campaign wave sweeping through the country, and to bear in mind that the campaigns are intended to create room for more peaceful development and not to fuel rifts and disaster.

In an interaction with KYAGGWE TV on Tuesday 9th December at Mt. Lebanon Christian Centre Church in Mukono, Lwandasa condemned acts of cruelty and brutality in the presidential campaigns that have been witnessed in various parts of the country, and prayed to all God-fearing people to invoke the Lord to intervene and touch the spirits of perpetrators of such acts.

In his Christmas message to Ugandans, Lwandasa congratulated all those to whom the Lord has given miracles, to those who have encountered misfortunes, to pray hard trusting that the loving Father in heaven is hearing and ready to respond.

To members of GHMF, the chairman admitted that true, they have not met for quite some time since launching of the foundation, and attributed this state of affairs to unforeseen occurrences including dialogues, meetings and seminars, some of them international, adding however that this notwithstanding, plans have been underway for modalities of implementing programmes to take the group ahead.

He added that the ongoing political programmes in the country have kept many offices busy that are expected to be key players in carrying forward the Greater Houses programmes, including State House with which they have an arrangement to host them for in-depth talks.

The prelate however expressed optimism that in due course, the Lord will let all ongoing programmes come to an end, and then open doors for furtherance of other development programmes as earlier scheduled.

He disclosed that immediately after the presidential elections next year, plans are in the pipeline for a mega meeting of members to pave way for advancing set plans for the new year, and to pave ways for ensuring that all foundation members benefit in one way or the other.

“What gives us hope is the fact that we are known to each other, and we are not to begin from scratch; we are connected by phones and other communication systems and as soon as the climate is conducive, we shall get to everybody and get into business again”, he said.

Bp. Lwandasa disclosed that the Greater House Secretariat has organized a media meeting to look at pertinent issues and programmes for the new year, slated to take place on Saturday 13th December at a venue to be communicated in due course. He wished a merry Christmas to Christians in Uganda and worldwide, and a prosperous, fruitful and peaceful 2026.
