It is alleged that the accused forged academic documents, including UCE and UACE certificates from the Uganda National Examination Board, as well as a diploma and bachelor’s transcripts from Makerere University Business School, and Kyambogo University.
Samuel Wampero, an accountant at Nakawa Vocational Institute has been arraigned before Buganda Road Magistrate and charged with forgery and uttering false academic documents.
Wampero has been charged by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the Crime Investigations Department and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. He has been remanded until April 22, 2025.

He therefore presented these documents to the Education Service Commission in 2004 with the intention to deceive and defraud in order to secure employment with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
