Nantaba-Karangwa Old Enmity Re-ignited as She Forces Her Way to Museveni

Nantaba and Karangwa are known to have for years been at loggerheads with each blaming the other for shortcomings including irregularities in handling land ownership question in Kayunga district.

Former State Minister for ICT and Kayunga Woman Member of Parliament, Idah Erios Nantaba broke all odds and forced her way through the presidential security details and reported to him that certain NRM executives she has been exposing for land grabbing are witch hunting her.

During President Museveni’s recent visit to Kayunga to commission work on Kayunga-Bbaale-Galiraaya road offered Nantaba the rare opportunity to renew her enmity with the Kayunga district NRM head, Moses Karangwa Kaliisa before the President.

The two, Nantaba and Karangwa are known sworn enemies. She mobilized a group of supporters to meet the President and when they were denied access at Kayunga ground, she took them to the president’s next venue at Busaana where she managed to get them before the NRM national chairman, President Museveni.

Before him, she complained that she had not been given a slot to speak and attributed this to unnamed opponents who she said are known land grabbers in the district.

The atmosphere was so charged that the function organizer who was State Minister for Finance, and Ntenjeru North MP Amos Lugoloobi gave aspirants an opportunity to address the congregation before the arrival of the President.
