Ssembabule Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Jane Frances Kagayi confirmed the death of one person by shooting.

Kagayi said she had sent the officer in charge of police to the scene of crime to ascertain the cause of the incident that triggered the shooting.

Ssekikubo is battling with the aged retired UPDF officer, Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Rwashande in the NRM primaries.

The incumbent accuses the security officials including police heads and UPDF of siding with Rwashande and torture him and his supporters, and in the end, they have just murdered an innocent person.

He said that he also survived by God’s grace because the deceased was with him.

“They must have intended to shoot me but God protected me!” he said.
