Pamela Lived a Life of Faith, Hope: Canon Titus Baraka’s Eulogy For Slain UCU Dean
Canon Titus Baraka, the Archdeacon of Baale Archdeaconry, has eulogized Pamela Tumwebaze, the slain Dean of Students Affairs at Uganda Christian University (UCU), who was brutally murdered at her home in Mukono.
In a heartfelt tribute, Canon Baraka recalled Tumwebaze’s kindness and faith, saying she had lived a life of hope in Christ Jesus. He expressed condolences to her family, including her sons Noah and Elijah, and the UCU community.
“Why bad things happen to good people?” Canon Baraka asked, adding that eternity will reveal the answers. He urged the family to find comfort in the Holy Spirit.

PAM’S DEATH
THIS IS UNIMAGINABLE THROUGH OUR HUMAN MIND:
PREACHED YESTERDAY AND KILLED AT NIGHT!
SAD to imagine Pamela Tumwebaze has gone to be with the Lord in such a tragic way.
Pamela Tumwebaze had stayed with us in our home state for about 5 years. She then left my place to live in Nabuta in her sister’s house. Her sister Rebecca Tumwebaze had moved to work in Ireland so she had to take care of their beautiful home.
Pamela and her two sons Noah and Elijah had become close part of our family. Her sisters and parents had also become a family to us.
The news about her untimely death has left us numb. It’s hard to imagine and fathom out as to WHY BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE??????? But we know one day eternity will make it clear when every secret will be revealed. Our joy is that she has lived a life of faith and hope in Christ Jesus as savior and Lord.
We will hold the family; Mama, Dora, Rebecca, Flora, the brother and Rachel in our fervent prayers. Then prayers to the Sons Noah and Elijah, I can’t imagine the trauma going on in their minds and the tragic effects – poor little kids!😭😭It only takes the Holy Spirit of God in Christ Jesus to Comfort you all.
May the good Lord Comfort the entire UCU family. Thank you for standing in in these traumatic moments.
Rev. Canon Capt. Titus Baraka
