Police have confirmed the death of two people following a single fatal crash which involved Isuzu bus, registration number UBR 796N, belonging to Pokopoko Company.

Micheal Kananura, the Traffic Police spokesperson said that the incident occurred on Easter, April 20, 2025, at approximately 2:20PM on the Mubende-Kyegegwa highway at Biwanga.

“The incident claimed the lives of 02 passengers (01 adult female & 01 juvenile female). Additionally, 12 others sustained injuries & were rushed to Mubende regional referral hospital for treatment,” said Kananura.

He urged motorists to prioritize vehicle safety before embarking on their journeys. “Regularly checking tyre condition & ensuring that they are within the recommended expiry dates can significantly enhance safety on the roads.”

One of the deceased has been identified as Evelyn Rwapempe, a daughter to Munaba from Bikunya Kanyanyamunyu.
