The duo’s arrest was conducted after Constantino Oluka ran to police for rescue as he had been allegedly asked for the head of his child in order to get back his wife with whom they had separated over family misunderstandings.

The police in Naggalama division are holding two witchdoctors on cases of attempted child sacrifice and obtaining money by false pretense.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango has identified the suspects as Bashir Musisi and Paul Kazzo who are residents of Kabenbe village in Kyampisi sub-county, Mukono district.

The duo’s arrest was conducted after Constantino Oluka ran to police for rescue as he had been allegedly asked for the head of his child in order to get back his wife with whom they had separated over family misunderstandings.

Oluke said that his wife allegedly left him after giving reasons, and among those was that he was poor yet she was tired of going through bad situations.

Because he was not ready to let her go just like that, and his efforts to beg for her change of mind had yielded no result, he decided to run to the witchdoctor for help.

It is alleged that he was asked to offer sh15m and five iron sheets, something Oluka managed to do after selling part of his land.

“Upon handing over the cash asked for and the iron sheets, I was asked to go back and wait for my wife to come back. However, after taking some time without getting any positive results, I went back to the witchdoctor to inquire and know why things had not worked out. It was during that turn that I was asked for my child’s head,” he said.

Onyango said that police recovered the stolen iron sheets from the suspects’ homes, and the suspects are currently detained at Naggalama police station as investigations continue.
