In a significant development, the Police at Lubowa have made a major breakthrough in their efforts to combat motorcycle robberies. Five suspects have been arrested, believed to be behind a series of robberies that plagued the Lubowa and Ndejje areas from June 2025 to March 2026.
The suspects, all young men, are identified as Kamoga Sharif (alias Mugisha, 20), Byagaba Liberty (20), Ssempungu Patrick (alias Junior, 23), Ssegawa Stuart (19), and Ssenyonga Denis (25). Their arrest follows an intelligence-led operation that targeted criminal activities linked to motorcycle theft.
The operation was initiated on February 5, 2026, when Kamoga Sharif, alias Mugisha, was apprehended in Kyengera Town Council. After his arrest, he cooperated with investigators and led them to the remaining suspects. So far, the police have recovered one motorcycle, registration number UMA 663HM, which is being held as evidence.
