The police are holding a one Selector Shaban who allegedly defrauded a Kadama only identified as Maria her hard-earned money she accumulated while on kyeyo.
Maria went on social media crying helplessly saying that she had been defrauded by Selector Shaban, her boyfriend whom she has been sending money to only to disappear after she came back the previous day.
Today, Selector Shaban has been netted and he is currently under police detention. Maria said that Shaban went ahead to pick her from Entebbe Airport but disappeared in thin air together with the valuables she had come with including her mobile phone.
“I have been dating Shaban for over a year now. I kept sending him my money which amounts to over sh15m and everything was okay until when I arrived at the airport,” she said.
She added: “I took so long to realise that Shaban had conned me not only of the money I sent him while on kyeyo but also the simple things I came back with. I first called him and my calls went unanswered until he switched off the phone. It was at that point when I realized I was already finished.”
