Shock and fear have gripped the residents of Limpopo Province in South Africa after a bus which was carrying Zimbabwean and Malawian nationals overturned a d killed 42 people.
The victims included seven children, 17 men, and 18 women. Six people have been reported that they are in critical condition, while 31 others sustained serious injuries and are being treated in several hospitals.
The crash occurred on a mountainous stretch of the N1 highway, a major road linking South Africa to Zimbabwe.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed condolences to the affected countries. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
