The Directorate of Welfare, Production and Sports of the Uganda Police has today handed over chicks to spouses of police officers to improve their house hold income.

This initiative aims to improve the well-being and welfare of police officers and their families.

“We aim to enhance the economic well-being of police officers’ families and provide a sustainable way to generate additional income which in turn promotes performance.”

It is believed that if the spouses of the police officers are empowered economically, they will help to uplift their standards of living and stop the tendency of surviving on their husbands’ salaries.
