Kampala Capital City (KCCA) Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago has decried the deteriorating Health Care System in the country.
Lukwago says a big number of government health units in different parts of the country are in a sorry state, leaving the poor Ugandans to suffer in the hands of the private health units.
The Lord Mayor showed his discontentment as he presided over this year’s Seventh-Day Adventist Annual camp Meeting for spiritual revival at SDA Najjanankumbi Church.
He therefore thanked the organizers of the Camp Meeting for including a health Camp in collaboration with Buganda Kingdom in the week long engagement saying it has greatly benefitted the community.
He also acknowledged the organisers for having involved the children in the camp meeting activities saying they are laying a very good religious-based foundation for the youngsters.
In return, Bishop Godfrey Kulumba thanked the Lord Mayor for his support to the Church and appreciated him for the continued fight for the common people.
The Camp meeting has been organised by the Seventh Day Adventist conference of Najjanankumbi and was graced by Bishop David Mpande from the Central Uganda Conference who also thanked the lord Mayor for honoring their invitation.
