Kyagulanyi urged supporters to remain calm but vigilant, continuing to agitate, mobilize, and organize for #ProtestVote2026. He emphasized that the regime targets leaders, but “they cannot kill us all. They cannot arrest us all”.
National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has issued an urgent security warning to party leaders and activists, citing a wave of mass abductions, detentions, and enforced disappearances targeting NUP members in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, and surrounding districts.
In a statement, Kyagulanyi revealed that Crime Intelligence, led by Brig. Gene. Christopher Ddamulira, has launched a criminal operation to disrupt NUP’s activities ahead of the elections.
Kyagulanyi says that the operation involves groups tasked with abducting at least 10 leaders or activists each.

To stay safe, Kyagulanyi advises NUP members to:
– Disable Location Sharing: Turn off live location sharing on phones and apps.
– Vary Routines: Avoid predictable routes and times, especially at night.
– Stay Mobile: Don’t stay in one location for too long.
– Be Vigilant: Watch out for suspicious vehicles or strangers around homes.
– Secure Family: Ensure loved ones are in safe locations.
