Security agencies have arrested a 41-year-old man accused of killing a male student on Valentine’s Day after allegedly finding him engaged in love affairs with his 14-year-old daughter at his home in Wakiso District.
According to Racheal Kawala, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the suspect has been identified as Herbert Musasizi, a resident of Mabanda Cell in Gombe Division, Nansana Municipality in Wakiso District. The deceased is Bukenya Martin, a student of Hillside Secondary School Matugga.

Police say the incident occurred on February 14, 2026, at around 8:00pm at Musasizi’s residence in Mabanda Cell, Gombe Division, Nansana Municipality. It is alleged that Musasizi found the student in his house engaging in a romantic relationship with his teenage daughter.
In a fit of anger, the suspect is said to have assaulted the student, who later succumbed to the injuries. The deceased was a resident of Kirinyabigo in Kawanda, Nabweru Division, Wakiso District.
Following the incident, Musasizi reportedly fled the area. He was later tracked and arrested from Gulu district by security operatives.
He is currently in police custody as investigations into the matter continue.
Authorities have condemned the act and urged members of the public to resolve disputes through lawful means, emphasizing that violence is not a solution.
