Mukono District technical staff are mourning the death of Ms. Claire Tusiime, a Community Development Officer attached to Namataba Town Council, who passed away on Wednesday after a period of illness.
According to Mukono District Communications Officer Derrick Kaddu, Tusiime has been receiving treatment at a hospital in Entebbe, where she has been admitted for some time before her death was confirmed.
Kaddu said the district was saddened by the loss but noted that details regarding the cause of death would be communicated at a later stage.
Tusiime, a resident of Kauga in Mukono Central Division, was widely known for her dedication to community service and development initiatives within Namataba Town Council and the wider district.

The district leadership extended heartfelt condolences to Tusiime’s family, relatives, friends, colleagues, and the staff of Namataba Town Council during what it described as a difficult period of grief and loss.
The statement further called upon the public to keep the bereaved family in their prayers, asking God to grant them strength, comfort, and peace during this challenging time.
Mukono District Local Government said arrangements regarding the funeral and burial will be communicated in due course.
Tusiime’s death has left colleagues and residents mourning the loss of a dedicated officer whose service touched many lives across the district.
