Veteran Ugandan dramatist and media personality Charles James Ssenkubuge Siasa, one of the directors of the historic Bakayimbira Dramactors, is mourning the death of his beloved wife, Agnes Ssenkubuge.
Ssenkubuge, who currently works with Salt TV, is one of the long-serving figures associated with Bakayimbira Dramactors, a renowned Ugandan theatre group that has played a major role in shaping the country’s drama and entertainment industry.
Agnes’ death has plunged the veteran entertainer and his family into grief, with friends, colleagues, fans and well-wishers expressing condolences and rallying behind the family during the difficult moment.
News of her passing has also sent shockwaves through Uganda’s entertainment and media circles, where Ssenkubuge is widely known for his contribution to theatre, drama and the arts.
Messages of sympathy have continued to pour in from people touched by the family’s loss, as colleagues and friends stand with Ssenkubuge during what has been described as one of the darkest moments of his life.
By press time, the cause of Agnes’ death had not been disclosed. The family had also not yet communicated details regarding the funeral programme and burial arrangements.
