DNA Tests Confirm Four Biological Children of Late Music Legend Paul Kafeero

Government forensic DNA results have confirmed that only four of the 25 individuals who claimed to be biological children of the late Ugandan music legend Paul Kafeero are genetically related to him.

 

According to the forensic findings, the confirmed biological children are Benedicto Kafeero, Simon Peter Kafeero, Thomas Swaz Kafeero, and Elizabeth Nagawa.

 

The DNA analysis was conducted as part of an official verification process aimed at resolving longstanding questions surrounding the family lineage and estate of the celebrated Kadongo Kamu icon. The results bring clarity to a matter that has attracted significant public interest, given Kafeero’s enduring legacy in Uganda’s music industry.

 

Sources familiar with the process indicated that 25 claimants underwent forensic testing, but only four were positively identified as Kafeero’s biological children. The findings are expected to play a crucial role in determining rightful beneficiaries in matters concerning the late musician’s estate and family affairs.

 

Paul Kafeero remains one of Uganda’s most influential traditional musicians, remembered for his rich lyrical compositions and contributions to the Kadongo Kamu genre. His music continues to resonate with audiences years after his passing.
