National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission boss, Dr. Tanga Odoi has dropped the Ssembabule district party registrar, Patrick Ntale after several complaints against him related to compromise.

According to the guidelines, the voting process started today, July 17, at 10:00am in most parts of the country while in Karamoja sub-region voting started at 9:00am to 11:00am due to its weather conditions.
The exercise is expected to begin by reading the names of registered voters between 10:00am to 11:45am and voting will be done by voters lining up behind posters or agents of the candidates from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
Declaration of results will then follow before 4:00pm. Security has been heightened in various districts to ensure that peace and order prevail during the primaries.
