Police Denies Knowledge About Eddie Mutwe’s Alleged Violent Abduction

On Sunday evening, National Unity Platform (NUP) principal, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu informed the public about the violent abduction of his head of security, Eddie Mutwe by the armed men clad in SFC uniform.

Kyagulanyi through his social media handles alleged that Eddie Mutwe had been abducted from Kiwango cell in Goma Division, Mukono Municipality and driven away to unknown destination in a prominent drone vehicle.

While addressing the media in Police’s weekly press briefing, the Police spokesperson, Rusoke Kituuma denied knowledge about Eddie Mutwe’s whereabouts.

About the canceling of the NUP weekly media press conference which was to be held at its party headquarters at Kavule, Kituuma refused to give any comment.

Security officers including police and UPDF on Monday morning surrounded NUP offices and denied entry to anyone.

Apart from giving their weekly address, NUP was also supposed to launch their youth party elections, named Youth Protest Vote.
