Four people have lost their lives and several others sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident on their way from Entebbe International Airport on Monday after welcoming the Uganda Taxi Operators Federation (UTOF) Chairman Hajji Rashid Ssekindi, who was returning from a pilgrimage to Mecca.
According to preliminary reports, the victims were part of a group coming from the airport to receive Hajji Ssekindi when their vehicle was involved in a fatal crash. The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately clear.

Several survivors suffered severe injuries and were rushed to Kiruddu Hospital in Kampala, where they are receiving treatment.

Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the crash as efforts continue to identify all the victims and notify their families.
