Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba of the famous MK project has today paid sh20m as support for the Kabaka’s Birthday Run which is slated for Sunday, April 16, 2023.
As he went to deliver the money, one of the MK Project coordinators, Balam Barugahare turned up at Bulange Mengo with a number of youths in the names of MK Project supporters. Balam has been welcomed by the Buganda Government Minister in charge of Youths, Sports and Leisure, Henry Ssekabembe.
After handing over the money, Ssekabembe handed over the Kabaka’s birthday run kits in return to Balam, causing commotion amongst the MK Project supporters who had waited for them at the entrance of Bulange. Getting a kit called for one to first exhibit that he or she was physically fit. It was a serious struggle and fight. The team later led by bodaboda riders made rounds on Kampala streets singing Buganda anthem of Ekitiibwa kya Buganda. The birthday run is aimed at raising awareness on how to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS amongst the Ugandans and also raise money to be used in the fight against the monster. Minister Ssekabembe thanked Gen. Muhoozi for having joined Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi’s awareness campaign against AIDS.
