The State House Anti-Corruption Unit together with the Police’s Crime Investigations Department and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions have today February 20, 2025 arraigned before court a midwife who has been receiving salaries from two government hospitals for years.
Court has identified the suspect as Gloria Adokorach, a medical radiographer at Yumbe Referral Hospital. Adokorach has been arraigned before the Koboko Chief Magistrates Court on charges of obtaining money by false pretense and neglect of duty.

It is alleged that the accused was employed as a midwife in 2013 by Koboko General Hospital and went on study leave until 2018.
However, upon her return in 2021, she did not report back to duty but continued to receive salary from Koboko Local government for a role she abandoned in 2018, causing the government a financial loss of over sh40m in salaries. She has been remanded until March 13, 2025.
