The National Unity Platform (NUP) has today presented to the Electoral Commission (EC) signatures of Ugandans backing the presidential bid of its presidential aspirant, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
The team led by the NUP party secretary general, David Lewis Rubongoya, has presented the required 100 signatures from the 98 districts to EC at Lubowa where the commission has embarked on building its new headquarters.
Rubongoya, through his social media handles, has said that although the commission requires only 100 signatures from 98 districts, they were overwhelmed by the many people who wanted to sign for Kyagulanyi from every corner of Uganda.

“Another significant milestone registered towards #ProtestVote2026. This morning, the National Unity Platform team led by Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya presented to the Electoral Commission signatures supporting the nomination of our President, H.E. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert Bobi Wine,” he said, adding;
