A police sniffer dog in Kyegegwa District has helped arrest a man suspected of stealing and slaughtering a pig.
The suspect, identified as William Kabigumira, a resident of Kalama Village, was arrested after a police sniffer dog named Bruno tracked him down. The owner of the stolen pig has been identified as John Bisanga.
According to police, Bruno followed the suspect’s trail for approximately 700 metres from the scene of the theft to Kabigumira’s residence. By the time officers arrived, part of the pig’s meat had already been cooked and eaten, while some had been served to members of Kabigumira’s family.
