Businessman and investor Pastori Muhwezi, the proprietor of Bamuhwezi Investments, has died after sustaining fatal injuries in a road accident at Kagongi Trading Centre along the Ibanda–Mbarara Highway.

Muhwezi, who owned Bamuhwezi Hotel and Bamuhwezi Coffee Factories, was travelling with his wife and son when they were involved in the crash.

The three were rushed to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital for emergency treatment. However, Muhwezi later succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the accident.

His wife and son remain admitted at the hospital, where they are receiving medical care.
