It’s a sad morning as the education fraternity is mourning the death of a prominent retired educationist, Haji Abbas Waggwa Sseguya.
A born of Butambala district, Haji Sseguya taught in a number of schools including Kibuli Senior Secondary School, Masaka Senior Secondary School, among others.
Haji Muhammad Nyenje, a fellow teacher says that the Muslim leaders and followers in the greater Mpigi district have sadly received this traumatizing news of the death of Haji Sseguya, who has been a pillar in the Islamic Faith.
Haji Nyenje told this publication that following his hard work and leadership skills, President Yoweri Museveni appointed Haji Sseguya as the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mpigi district where he served for over seven years before he was transferred to Buikwe district.
Haji Sseguya’s burial arrangements are to take place tomorrow on Sunday at his ancestral grounds in Butambala district.
