The results meant that Buweekula will play Ssingo in the 2025 Masaza Cup final which will be held at Ham’s Stadium Nakivubo on Saturday November 1, 2025.
The Mengo chief for Kyaggwe county, Ssekiboobo Vincent Matovu Bintubizibu has given reasons that led to the defeat of Kyaggwe Football team by Buweekula in a second leg semi-final match which was played at Bishops SS in Mukono on Sunday.
In a brief about the game outcome at the ssaza headquarters on Monday, Ssekiboobo Matovu attributed their loss to the downpour which he said denied the Kyaggwe players the smooth carpet ground which he said the team had been used to.
He however maintained that their team put up a good show which he noted, made it impossible for the Buweekula players to register a second goal in the 90 minutes.

Kyaggwe first defeated Buweekula in the first leg 1-0 at Mubende NTC Playground, and in the rematch, Buweekula also managed to scoop a 0-1 win against the host team. Following the tie in the aggregate on 1-1, the referee organized the penalty shootout, where Buweekula emerged victorious on a 3-4.

In his address, Ssekiboobo however concedes that their team got a lot of free kick opportunities which were not properly utilized.
“Despite this state of affairs, we shall come with a vibe the next time round; we are actually advancing despite the bad show in the encounter with Buweekula on Sunday”, he said.
He said that despite the failure to get to this year’s Masaza Cup finals, there is an abundance of opportunities for the team to rise to its past glory.
