Two employees of NBS TV-Next Media Services have died while another is fighting for his life following a tragic road accident along Entebbe Road in the early hours of Friday.
In a statement released on Friday, Next Media identified the deceased as Badru Kasirye and Isaac Ndamagye, while Brian “Makona” Ssemanda sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The media company said it is in constant contact with the hospital treating Ssemanda and will provide updates on his condition as more information becomes available.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala confirmed the fatal accident, saying traffic police officers responded to the scene and have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
“We have registered the incident, and our traffic officers visited the scene. A detailed report will be issued once investigations are completed,” Kawala said.
The circumstances that led to the accident had not yet been established by press time.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through Uganda’s media fraternity, with colleagues, friends and members of the public paying tribute to the deceased while praying for the recovery of Ssemanda.
