The police in Mukono have arrested six Senior Four students who set ablaze the school warden’s room inside their dormitory leading to destruction of a number of property worth millions of money.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson has identified the suspects as; Muwanguzi Jabez Samuel (18), Bukenya Ryan (18), Luminsa Alfred (18), Ntale Deogracious (18) and Kibuuka Christopher (19).
Owoyesigyire said the suspects have been charged with arson and malicious damage to property. He revealed that the incident happened on October 24 at midnight though the school administrators reported to Mukono police station on October 28 at 3:20pm.

Owoyesigyire said that a number of properties were destroyed by the fire including; 30 jerrycans of liquid soap, two office chairs, hand mopper, seven school mattresses and six mattresses belonging to school fees defaulters.
Others include; three pairs of trousers belonging to the warden, his wallet containing sh25,000, one pair of canvas shoes and among the damaged items were the window and door glasses.
“The matter was first handled by the school administration who suspended the suspects until 03/11/25 when the matter was brought to police,” he said.
Contacted for comment on phone, the headteacher for Bishop Senior School, Robert Kyakulaga was non-committal and promised to call and furnish this reporter with information.
