The Police in Kampala are holding one of their own for allegedly shooting two people including a fellow police officer and ex-lover dead.
The suspect is identified as PC Alex Adei from the Counter Terrorism Unit. Adei is said to have acted out of jealousy to shoot dead his ex-lover and another police officer yet to be identified.
The suspect is currently detained at Jinja Road Police Station in Kampala. It is alleged that Adei committed the act on Sunday at around 9:00pm.

Initial reports indicated one fatality, but another officer was later discovered in a pool of blood near the scene, suggesting the second victim was also hit by the gunfire opened by Adei.
Adei’s motive appears to be linked to jealousy after discovering that his former partner had moved on following their separation over domestic issues.
He was apprehended after being on the run with the firearm and is now in custody, awaiting legal proceedings.
