Sources say that the OC CID reportedly locked the victim inside his room, attempted to sexually assault her, and hid her under the bed before she was later rescued.

Police in North Kyoga Region have arrested one of its own, the OC CID of Kole District, Dickens Louis Ebong, over an alleged case of attempted rape involving a 19-year-old student.

According to Police spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema, the suspect allegedly lured the victim, a student of Akalo Comprehensive Secondary School, to his residence at Kole Police Barracks under the pretext of giving her a book.

Sources say that the OC CID reportedly locked the victim inside his room, attempted to sexually assault her, and hid her under the bed before she was later rescued.

The case was reported by the victim’s father, Bennie Olila. A medical examination was conducted at Aboke Health Centre IV, and the report has since been submitted to Lira CPS as part of investigations.

Police say the suspect is in custody and has been formally charged. Investigations are ongoing, including analysis of the medical report, further interrogation, and verification of the victim’s age.
