Kibuli Senior Secondary School has won the overall championship for the 2023 Uganda Muslim Education Association (UMEA) Solidarity Games. The four-day games event which was flagged off on Friday hosted by Kawanda Senior Secondary School had spent four years on hold following the COVID 19 pandemic.
Hajji Hussein Lwembawo, the General Secretary of the UMEA Solidarity Games said that the games are intended to promote friendship, to create relationship amongst Moslem schools and prepare school teams for regional, national and international duties.
At least students participated in six disciplines for both girls and boys. They included; football, handball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, Netball (girls only) and Woodball (exhibition).
