The Ssezibwa Region Police are holding a sex worker who allegedly stabbed her customer to death. Ssezibwa Region Police Spokesperson, Hellen Butoto identified the deceased as Muyima Maisowe (25), a fisherman and the suspect as Arach Esabel (30).
The duo is a resident of Ssenyi A landing site in Ssi-Bukunja sub-county, Buikwe district.
James Nimuro who reported the incident to Police said that Arachi, a prostitute engaged into a scuffle with her customer at around 4:30am after realising that he had wanted to take off without paying for the service of commercial sex he had played with her for almost the whole night.
While on a police patrol before being transported to Lugazi, Arach told our reporter that Maisowe had tried to jump over the window and take off before paying her for having played sex with him for hours.
“When I asked him to first pay my money, he instead started fighting me. For self-defence, I got a knife and stabbed him,” she narrated.
Butoto said that Police arrested Arach and they also recovered a sharp knife which she allegedly used to stab her customer to death.
The body for the deceased was taken to Kawolo Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem as the investigation into the case commenced. Butoto said that the suspect was transported from Ssenyi landing site to Lugazi Central Police Station where she is kept in Police custody.
