In a related development, police arrested a man identified as Sande Moses, reportedly Kwizera’s brother, and detained him at Luweero Central Police Station to assist with the ongoing investigations.
Police in Luweero District have launched investigations into an incident in which a man identified as Musisi Kwizera was electrocuted while allegedly vandalising electricity infrastructure in Tebalyala Village, Bweyeyo Parish, Luweero Sub-county.
The incident occurred at about 6:30am on Thursday, October 22, 2026, after the village chairperson alerted police that a man had been electrocuted while allegedly tampering with an electricity line.
According to Savannah Region Police spokesperson ASP Sam Twineamazima, a team of officers from Luweero Central Police Station, including Scene of Crime Officers (SOCOs), was dispatched to the scene.
Police officers reportedly found Kwizera lying unconscious near an electricity pole, with a pair of pliers on his body.
He was rescued and rushed to Luweero Hospital for medical attention.
Police recovered several items from the scene, including a piece of electricity wire measuring approximately 100 metres, a pair of pliers, a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle without number plates and a smartphone believed to belong to the suspect.
