St. Francis Schools of Health Sciences Namataba Set For 11th Graduation Tomorrow

The graduation is being held under the theme “Strengthening Healthcare delivery through training for betterment of Humanity”.

St. Francis School of Health Sciences-Namataba, Mukono has urged Health training institutions to embrace new technologies coming up in the Health sector to compete in the changing world of technology.

Tonny Oyo, the Director Quality Assurance also doubling as Principal St. Francis School of Health Sciences, Namataba-Mukono made the remarks while addressing the media at their premises in preparations for their 11th graduation ceremony due to take place tomorrow May 22, 2025.

Oyo noted that technology has shifted and health training institutions should be able to train their students to the standard in the current Artificial Intelligence technology era to ably compete in the competitive employment world.

“We emphasize that the World where we are living in technology is changing so we have prepared our students to ably apply to the modern technologies because digital has become the order of the day,” he said.

The graduation is being held under the theme “Strengthening Healthcare delivery through training for betterment of Humanity”. At least 390 students are set to graduate in various disciplines. Out of these, 238 are female whereas 152 are male.

Nakabugo Dorothy, the Registration and Admissions Officer in the Office of the Academic Registrar has implored parents to continue strengthening girl child empowerment through education to create a better environment especially in the health department.

“We find pride in Christ Centeredness as a Catholic institution however we also give special consideration to other religions. We are also based on the pillars of discipline and hard work, the basis for producing competent graduates,” she said.

Henry Ssegujja, the Principal St. Francis School of Health Sciences noted that over the years, they have been able to create a difference in the health sector by providing God fearing health professionals whereby many have been employed in the available government facilities and in the private sector whereas others who have become self-employed.
