Ugandan Footballer Dies in Amsterdam

The sports fraternity in Uganda has today received the sad news of the death of the Ugandan footballer who died in Amsterdam. The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Ssenyange a.k.a French Cut, the former KCCA winger.

Ssenyange is said to have gone through series of rehabilitation after he was found homeless on the streets of Amsterdam but all efforts yielded nothing.

The midfielder joined KCCA FC in 1989 from Namilyango College up to 1994. While in KCC he played with great soccer players like Jackson Mayanja, George Nsimbe, Sadiq Wassa, Baker Masiko, Sam Simbwa among others.

In 1995 he joined Arua and later that year he left the country and went to the USA for green pastures before relocating to Netherlands in 2009.

He was born on 25th December, 1974, at Namaiba Village in Mukono district. May his Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
