Buganda Kingdom is mourning the death of Peter Muliira, a distinguished lawyer and former Minister for Heritage, Palaces, Tombs, Tourism, and Security. Muliira’s passing was confirmed by the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, who made the announcement on Saturday via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
In a brief but poignant message, Mayiga described Muliira as “an intelligent person, researching and writing about issues he was passionate for.” His contributions to Buganda Kingdom and his work in public service were widely respected, with many remembering him for his deep knowledge of cultural and historical matters.
