According to preliminary reports, Kalamu allegedly sneaked into a nearby bush with a 40-year-old married neighbour for what is believed to have been a secret sexual encounter.
Police in Luuka District are investigating circumstances under which a 50-year-old man reportedly died during a suspected secret sexual encounter in a bush.
The deceased has been identified as Simon Kalamu, a resident of Namulanda B Village in Luuka District.
According to preliminary reports, Kalamu allegedly sneaked into a nearby bush with a 40-year-old married neighbour for what is believed to have been a secret sexual encounter.
Busoga North Regional Police spokesperson Samson Lubega said the deceased reportedly collapsed shortly after the encounter.
“It is alleged that the two had gone into the bush when the man suddenly collapsed and became unconscious,” Lubega said.
Residents who discovered the incident reportedly alerted local leaders and police officers, who later visited the scene and launched investigations into the matter.
The woman involved is said to have survived the incident and is assisting police with ongoing inquiries. Kalamu’s body was taken for a postmortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
