Shock: Two Pilgrims Knocked Dead on Masaka Road!

A group of Pilgrims trekking from Masaka district heading to Namugongo Martyrs Shrine were shocked following two of their fellows who were knocked by a speeding bus. The incident happened at Nabbingo on Masaka Road during the wee hours of the night.

Police have identified the deceased as Specioza Nambi and Oliva
Nabakooza from Makomdo Parish in Masaka diocese. Preliminary reports show that the duo had separated from the group with whom they were walking and it’s when they where knocked.
Kampala Metropolitan deputy Police Spokeswoman, Luke Owoyesigyire says the driver of the bus registration number UAL 882 Z of Perfect Bus Company who knocked the pilgrims is currently on the run.
Owoyesigyire said the accident is said to have happened at around 3:00am.
