Muhoozi Claims Kyagulanyi Has Been Pleading With Museveni to Avoid Arrest Upon Return From US

National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has spoken out over the reported abduction of his official photographer and party activist, Ninye Tabz, whose real name is Andrew Natumanya.

The alleged abduction was first reported on Wednesday by NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, who said Natumanya was taken from Kamwokya by unidentified security operatives.

According to Rubongoya, Natumanya was reportedly bundled into a “drone” vehicle and driven to an unknown destination.

“We’ve just been informed of the abduction of @NinyeTabz from Kamwokya a short while ago. He has been whisked away in a drone. The lawlessness continues!” Rubongoya posted on X.

By Thursday, the party said it had not yet established Natumanya’s whereabouts.

In a post on X, Kyagulanyi expressed concern over what he described as the continued targeting of NUP supporters, activists and political figures.

“You can abduct and torture @NinyeTabz, but you cannot break his resolve. This does not show the strength of the regime; it only exposes how weak and decadent it is. We stand with you, my brother. Just like the Amin regime, one day all this will be history,” Kyagulanyi wrote.

The reported incident comes amid what NUP leaders describe as a continuing wave of abductions targeting opposition supporters and activists in different parts of the country.

Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi also commented on the matter, alleging that Natumanya had been forcibly taken.

“The senseless abductions continue. Tabz @NinyeTabz has been taken by a drone from Kamwokya!” Ssenyonyi posted on X.

By press time, security agencies had not issued an official statement regarding the allegations, and the circumstances surrounding Natumanya’s reported disappearance remained unclear.

NUP officials have called for his immediate release and urged authorities to clarify his whereabouts.
