Shock and grief have engulfed supporters of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Kayunga District and across the country following the death of Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Duties Moses Karangwa Kalisa in a fatal road accident.
According to information reaching the Kyaggwe TV news desk, Karangwa died following a tragic accident that reportedly occurred at an undisclosed location in the early hours of Monday morning.
A video clip circulating on social media by around 1:00am showed Karangwa’s official vehicle, registration number UG 0101151, at an accident scene with people gathered declaring that he had not survived the fatal crash.

Karangwa also served as the NRM Chairperson for Kayunga District and was widely known for his mobilization efforts and community engagements within the ruling party structures.
His death comes just weeks after he graduated from Kampala University with a diploma in Social Work and Social Administration during the institution’s 26th graduation ceremony held last month.
Speaking shortly after the graduation ceremony, Karangwa said he had acquired valuable knowledge despite spending limited time at the university and expressed plans to further his education.
“I have spent a lot of time doing business. Now, after acquiring skills in social work, I am going to do more work in this field and ensure that I transform my community and its surroundings,” he said.
He also encouraged fellow businesspeople to consider returning to school to broaden their knowledge and understanding of business and society.
Authorities had not yet released an official statement regarding the exact cause of the accident or details surrounding the crash by publication time.
