Namagabi Secondary School has announced with profound sorrow the passing of its long-serving bursar, Paul Mukasa Mayanja, who died on Tuesday morning at Mulago National Referral Hospital.
In a statement released by the school, the administration described Mukasa as a dedicated and loyal servant who managed the school’s finances for the past 40 years, earning the respect and admiration of students, staff, parents, and the wider school community.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our bursar for the last 40 years, Mr. Mukasa Mayanja Paul, who passed on today morning at Mulago Hospital,” the statement read.

The school noted that burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
The Board of Governors (BOG), Parents and Teachers Association (PTA), old students, and the entire Namagabi Secondary School fraternity expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, describing his death as a significant loss to the institution.
“We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time,” the statement added.
